This is normal and part of the nature of Jesmonite. We do ensure that every piece is up to our standard and you'll definitely be receiving a beautiful piece with it's own character and uniqueness.
We seal all of our pieces with a process that includes multiple coats of stone wax which make the colors vibrant and pop, while also creating a water resistant barrier. Jesmonite is a porous material and will absorb water left on it, so to best care for your pieces and ensure longevity make sure to wipe away any spills with a soft cloth. Pieces are not food safe and you should avoid eating from them and also never place in a dishwasher as it will break down and damage your piece.
